Default Door Replacement Question

I need a new passenger door for my rig, and was looking everywhere, but they all seen similar in price. Was wondering if anyone knows the reason why the 07-11 version is $300 more than the newer models. Would it be possible to use a new on or are the internals totally different. Pictures online look the same, but that can be deceiving. Please let me know. Thanks

My guess is the interior panels are different. The doors themselves should fit all JK's.

More expensive because they know you NEED it? Check out the newer doors at a lesser price. BTW power locks and windows have not changed. Do you really care if the interior colour is diff.? You can replace that panel with the old door one. If interior passenger is a keeper can she/he roll down a window with a hand crank?

If you have power doors, locks, and mirrors, there are subtle differences in the wiring harness plug that you connect. Even for years 2012 and on, they aren't the same. For example the plug is different between my 2012 Rubicon and my friend's 2015 Rubicon. I would guess that the doors themselves are all the same seeing as how half doors tend to move between owners with no regard to what year they were from. As mentioned before, the door elbow rest and such will be different. But definitely look into the wiring harness thing if you have power options. It's not as straight forward as you might think.

I don't have power options. So I'm thinking it shouldn't be an issue

Gotcha. In that case it should be fine. It would be no different than running with your doors off.

So a little update here with a new question. I have fount a door on eBay that is the same year and color as mine which is much better, but it comes with power window regulators. Will all the hardware from my damaged door go in this one fine?
My other option is buy one that I've found with manual Windows, but in a different color, so if possible I'd like to avoid painting cost.

If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know.
Thanks
