Default Door surround fit

Hello everyone, I need some help.
I have an ‘07 with a soft top and I’ve been trying to find out if the newer style door surrounds will fit. Are the door surrounds year specific or will the newer (2010s and up) fit my older style wrangler?
Thanks for any help!

They'll fit, the only change is that they don't have the channel to clip the old style soft top under- which is ideal. If I'd get rid of the tuck style if possible. The new cable style is better in many ways.

Awesome thank you!
I’m already getting tired of those clips and I’ve only had the old top for about a year.

Yep, 10+ got rid of the clips and so you're less likely to rip the soft top above the door there. It was a welcome surprise for me coming from TJ's that had the clips like you've got now.

I’ve found someone selling an 08 soft top with a sun rider but with the newer door surrounds. I guess they have removed the plastic clips from the top.
They say it doesn’t leak but I don’t see how that’s the case if the top is just sitting on the door surrounds. Has anyone ever seen anybody doing that? The only reason I’m interested in the deal is because the price is pretty fair.

The new tops just sit on the surrounds as well. There's a spring tensioned cable that holds them "down" of sorts. The other thing I'd really be on the lookout for is the premium material. The standard is ok but the premium is worth the money. It doesn't stain nearly as easily and the fabric lasts longer/ is more resistant to the elements like sun.
