Man I took mine off the first time this weekend and they are staying off for a while!

It wasn't that they were hard to get off...actually quite scary how EASY they came off. I just LOVE i mean FUGGIN LOVE the open air feel....although watch everything that ain't tied down 'cause you will lose 'em at highway speeds!

Once off, saturate the hinges with grease, every time from that point on will be much, much easier.

When you put them back on I would recommend that you grease the pins to help keep out water and keep them from sticking so bad next time. With my old TJ the doors were off all the time and I would get a shop rag with some grease and hit all the pins just before putting them back on. No issues at all in removing them in the future. I will do the same with my JK.

I know on mine when I removed them the first time I left the torx nut on by a few threads and hit them gently with a hammer to get them started. Then I removed the nuts the rest of the way and pulled them off.

I don't know if this is correct. I had trouble with one of my back doors. I tried a rubber mallet, and was just about to try some WD-40. Then I tried lifting the door with it almost in the closed position, and it lifted right off!
