Default double click from left rear

08 JK stock suspension 73000 miles. From a dead stop I get a double click from left rear tire area. I use two different sets of wheels, always torqued and rechecked, all undercarriage mounts checked for tightness. Sounds like a loose wheel click. It happens occassionally . If it does it and i stop and try to duplicate it ,it won't do it. recently changed shocks, it did it with original shocks and replacement shocks. IDK.

Axle bearing on the way out? They often start off with just a click when coming to a stop & then progress to a rythmic ticking when underway.

Could be, odd thing it does it when it feels like it and not when Im standing next to it with little woman in driver's seat. I plan on pulling the wheels off and checking everything again.

Check your emergency brake cables and emergency brake system in rotor. sounds like the same i had. adjuster and springs were shot on my drivers side.. i fixed both brakes and silenced now.. if you are breaking it down, i would go all the way down.

Thanks for the thread referral, it was an interesting read. I wasn't able to replace the brakes when they failed due to illness, good time to see whats going on back there.

Put it up on 4x axle stands, start it an put in in 4hi drive. Check for rear wheel wobble. Sounds like the bent rear shafts I had.
