Default Drake Hood Hold Downs ? Any Good?

Anyone ever tried or currantly using these Drake Hood Hold Downs ? wondering if they would cure hood flutter once and for all....

Never really had the hood flutter that some have had, maybe cause I never really paid attention to the hood while driving at highway speeds.
I don't like the looks of those things, and I see maybe some rust in the future. Maybe not. I also don't like the pop rivets.

I made my own for less then $35. They will eliminate any hood flutter you have becuse they are solid. They rest of the replacements on the market are made out of some form of rubber or plastic wich has to some flex in it to allow you to latch the hood.

i just installed the Daystar pins from Quadratec...no more fluttering at all and it still looks oem

Removed the hood spring ages ago, no more flutter. Takes like 30 seconds to do and its free. Try that first.

I have seen the Drake hold downs on a few jeeps and they do look awesome, but in the end all they do is hold the hood down lol, for the price the daystar hood wranglers solved my hood flutter issues and 30 is alot cheaper than 130
