Instead of a cable goin from the accelerator right to the throttle body, "drive by wire" systems send a signal from the accelerator pedal to the computer and then to the throttle body.

Seems that I saw somewhere that disconnecting the battery for a few minutes would reset the computer, causing it to "relearn." Can anybody verify that?

my jeep must be really confused. My wife drives with a light foot, and Its straight to the floor when I drive...

that being said, I might drive the JK once a week
