Question Driver door wont close?

I want to know if anyone else has this issue with their 2010 4 door? I have to slam the driver door to get it to close all the way. If a window or another door is open I don't have to slam it. The other doors all close easily. I have not put my soft top on yet so I don't know if that will have any affect. The dealer is telling me this is normal but it does not make sense since the other doors don't require slamming. Could the latch or door need adjustment?

You have to slam the doors on mine too. But I like that; means the seals are good.

That's the way it is. If everything is buttoned up you get a good seal. It is possible that if you really have to slam it, other than normal slamming, it may need to be adjusted. Try, once you get in move your hand further back on the handle in order to close the door. Believe it or not it helps.

Mine too, funny that it seals so tight and my hardtop still leaks

This still catches me out every time - if I have the freedom top panels out, or windows open then it closes lightly. As soon as the thing's sealed up, it needs a good slam to close. What bugs me is that I haven't gotten used to this yet, so almost every time the thing is sealed up, I close the door too lightly, then I have to reopen it and slam it.

It's amazing how these little quirks might be annoying on any other vehicle, but are somehow endearing on my Jeep .

Default Same here!

Slam the front doors with hard top on. Not so bad with soft top.
