Default Duratracs....

I'm not sure if maybe it is me or not, but am dissatisfied with my Duratracs. Had these on a Sahara JKU a few years ago and I thought they were great in snow, slush and ice. I put a new set on my 15 Freedom Edition 2 dr when I got it and yesterday first major snow storm going to work the Jeep handled like crap! I'm wondering if somehow they changed the tire or perhaps because its a 2 dr. less weight was the cause? Just weird, but considering how they handled, I would no longer suggest them. Any thoughts? By the way, bought these in the spring from tire rack and now they no longer show Duratracs on their site. Again weird!

I had a set on my 2dr for a short while and was unimpressed as well. They're just a tire to me. I didn't feel the supreme water handling that people talk about. I've had quite a few tires so maybe I'm picky?

I them on my 2012 JKU for 2-3 years and 30,000 miles so far. I've got no complaints. I like them. I am just now starting to see a slight drop off in wet traction but other than that they are great.

I have them on my 2dr for about two years. At first they were not too bad, except they did hydroplane fairly easy. I rotated them every 5000 miles, and now even when it just rains a bit they get slick. I am an aggressive driver though. I have to fault out the Nanny Systems out with my switch to even drive, so they don't try to engage when driving. Mine are 315-70r17, so they are fairly wide. My next tires will not be Goodyear, or this large. I will most likely go with a less aggressive AT tire, since this thing will be a daily driver now. I really don't trust the JK anymore. One of my XJs will go off road.

I will probably switch over to BFs when I have the extra dough to spend on rubber!
