Default E-brake

I need some help guys I feel a little stupid but here goes. If I push down on my E-brake release and pull up I get a little binding with a pop I can notice it more when I pull it up slow does anyone have any ideas or is this normal.

I don't know if that is normal or not but mine does exactly the same thing. Works but like you say makes a loud pop each and every time.

Its normal, there is a self adjusting clutch in the handle assembly that'll adjust when you pull too hard.
