That's a good idea. I think I will do the same.

I get the same thing, boggles the mind.

I use my ebrake every time I park. Still holds fine even on steep inclines. I did have to tighten it up this summer since the cable was starting to stretch a bit. If you pop the little rubber boot on the rear brakes and get one of those brake spoons (I think its called) at a parts store, only 5 bucks or so, you can tighten up the ebrake with the little star nut inside. Holds again now.

As Jeeperjkjeeper mentioned though, mine still does weird things. Normally I have to bring it up almost to the top to hold it, but sometimes I only have to pull it up an inch or two and it holds like a tank... just weird.

Well you guys have me boggled with the intermittently working ebrakes. I looked but was unsuccessful at finding aftermarket ebrake assembly

Thanks. I've done that. I've also rebuilt the brakes and replaced the e-brake pads. Didn't help. I've also modified the e-brake handle with a spring such that the clutch doesn't gum up and not work--so now my handle only pulls up about five clicks. There is something seriously wrong with the Jeep JK e-brake--too many folks are taking their Jeeps to the dealer and leaving with the same problem. So, please, one of you aftermarket manufacturers out there, come out with a fix!

That's how mine has been since I got it with 12 miles on it, I'd say he's right. Doesn't mean it's not crap though.

Is it just rubicon's with the 32s or do the Sahara's and sports have the same issue? Sahara's run 32s as well, right? Is it only unlimited's or do 2 doors have the same issue?

Jk E Brakes really suck in general. They can be adjusted, for awhile, lol.
