Default Electrical Issue

Hey everyone,

So I have been having an electrical issue in my JK for the past 3-4 months, where every once in a while my dash loses all power then comes back on with most of the lights, and in the mean time the wipers go off and headlights turn on for a few seconds. Well, finally yesterday I diagnosed it to be something with the airbag sensor in the driver seat. It seems like every time I lift myself up from the seat a bit, that's when it goes haywire. It also does it a lot more often when I'm wheeling.
Has anyone had any experience with this, or any knowledge of why it's doing that? If it is something with the sensor, are they easy to replace? It's a 2011 JK.

Here's a video of what I mean with the dash:

That's wild and would irritate me quite a bit. Have you checked that the connections under the seat are tight and waterproof (no moisture in there)?

Usually those issues are battery related but with it happening just by jumping off the seat, well that shakes things up.

Looks typical of a failing battery or poor battery connection to me.

Also check the grounding points in the cabin of the Jeep along with the engine compartment.

I would have the battery tested to see if there might be a dead cell.

Yes, it is very annoying when wheeling!

I've checked the battery multiple times and it's as tight as it can be.

Are these points behind the dash or around the tub floor?
As far as the battery, I have a voltmeter and it's always reading 14v when on. I've never had any issues as far as it being weak or not starting or anything.

I'm just trying to figure out why it only does it when I come up off the seat. Very strange.

Turns out my M.O.R.E. dead pedal bolts were loose and there are two ground wires behind it under the dash. I guess I would step on the pedal every time I got off the seat therefore making me think it was the seat. I tightened up all the bolts and I believe it's good to go now. Just wanted to mention that in case anyone else has this issue. Haha.

Thanks for the help guys!
