I ran the obd codes and I got u0001 which sais CAN c crank and u110a which sais lost communication with scm, i dont have any after market wireing asides from a hitch which i disconnected and tried but same thing happened any one got any ideas i would love the help thanks everyone

Very possible that you have a failed component, but before going there pull every ground connection off under the hood and sand/scrape it clean. Re-assemble with some good contact cleaner and then see what happens. If cleaning up the grounds does not solve the immediate problem it is still a very good thing to do. I found about half the ground connections loose when I brought my new 2011 home last year.

Look around under/behind the dash for ground connections also.

Check all the grounds like the other guy said only other thing I could advise is try ohming them out or do a ground test with a 6 volt battery and see if there is a short somewhere if you don't know how to hook up a 6v battery to do that PM me I will tell you but in my opinion I think it's a short and it's prob nothing to do with your grounds in the jeep just my 2cents though best of luck

On the driver's side, under the dash in the footwell there are two bolts with wires grounded to them. Every time mine are not straight up and down my 2007 goes haywire as you describe. Try disconnecting the battery, straightening them out and reconnecting after about ten minutes. Worked for me.

Good luck!

Good work. Sux that it didn't make a difference. Next step is probably to have a dealer check it out. Most of the electrical stuff can be checked by just plugging their analyzer in. Don't let them suck you in to a lot of cost until they take that simple step. Should cost you 1/2 to 1 hour of shop time.

Alright so I fixed it, I'm not sure what the issue was but I am thinking a lose harness or a bad ground I pulled out the tipm and checked all the harnesses there I reinstalled that then i pulled all the grounds cleaned and reconnected including the two in the passenger side under the dash and the driver side and the one under the drivers seat. I polled the drivers side seat out and cleaned it and cleaned all the rhino liner that was near it I then pulled out the gauges on the dash checked the three harnesses in the back made sure they were tight put it all back together AND........nothing ha so I pulled a few fuses out of the tipm just to double check they were not blown and they were all fine and tried it again and the problem was fixed the jeep runs like a champ and is back to its old gas hog ways. All in all here's what I think it was other a lose harness or a bad ground and I fixed that but for what ever reason it did not solve the problem until I pulled the fuse and reset what ever the problem was?
