Default Electrical Wizards / Auto Lock?

Is there a relay that can be added to make all the doors unlock when Jeep is turned off? Including tailgate?

This has been a peeve of mine for awhile now. I am constantly in and out all day and usually throw my keys in the cup holder. I just don't ever remember to hit the unlock button. Get to tailgate and locked. Kids can't get out of back. Locked. Every car I have owned had this feature so I just can't get into the habit of always doing it. Even our Liberty does and it is 2 years older.

Having them all unlock when you open a front door won't work for you?

No it doesn't.

Let me start over too. 2007 4dr Unlimited.

When I start to move all doors lock around 15mph. When I stop and shut down Jeep, (Radio stays on) all doors stay locked. If you pull either Drivers or Passengers door handle to get out it opens from a locked state. (Turns off radio) Rears do not. Kids have to push lock circle or I have to do it from my door. Tail gate also stays locked.

I am in construction. You would think as often as this has happened I would get muscle memory in my head but it is never the case. I stop, throw keys in cup holder, jump out, go to tailgate and LOCKED! Faq. Go back. Open door, hit button or grab keys. Walk back....PITA. I guess in my old age of 37 my brain doesn't want to learn new tricks.

Please help.

Have you tried to program the unlock-all-doors feature?

Set the locks to auto-lock at 15 mph and auto unlock all when either front door is opened
.

Get in the Jeep, insert the key. Cycle the key from insertion position to "on" position 5 times, upon completing the 5th cycle make sure the key ends in the "on" position, press the unlock switch down once. The locks will actuate and a tone will sound. Programming is complete.

Ok. Did this. What it did was turn off auto lock. When I hit 15mph nothing locks. Doors stay unlocked at all times. I am OK with this for now as it solves my frustration working but would really like it to work like my Liberty. Auto lock and then as soon as I turn off key they all unlock.

Thanks though. Part of the problem is solved.

Try it again, then. See it the auto lock comes back with the unlock-all feature.

These little tweaks are hard to work out sometimes.

I know how do it in a 2011-2012, just not in 2007-2010. In 2011-2012 it is an option in the gage cluster.
