Default Engine check light flashing

When I'm going up hill and I keep the rev's at 4000 the light starts flashing. If I drop the rev's it goes away. This is a 2007 JKU auto.

Any ideas what this might be ?

From the 2007 owner's manual ...

When the engine is running, the “Malfunction Indicator
Light” may flash to alert serious conditions that could
lead to immediate loss of power or severe catalytic
converter damage. The vehicle should be serviced as
soon as possible if this occurs.

Had it scanned.
It was a burnt out oxygen sensor which made it run rich and then burn out my plugs.

New sensor, plugs and HT leads.
All good now

You've got to be driving a Pentastar to ask that of someone driving a 3.8 auto up a hill. ;-)

Truth, but even dragging a trailer through the Appalachian mountains (Virginia \ Tennessee) in my 2012 JKU Sport, I managed 3500 rpms. So pardon my naivete.

hahah
I'm with you! 4k rpms pulling a trailer up most any pass in CO is the norm.

Sent from some string and a few tin cans.
