Default Engine degreaser

What degreaser do you guys use? I'm starting to realize you don't only wash the outside after mudding, got to clean the inside too! Is there anything that works like a spray or is easy to use? Thanks!

I use Simple Green. Let engine warm up a little. Spray generous amount of simple green all around. Let sit for 15 minutes. Blast off with pressure washer (with widest spray tip).

Sorry I'm not familiar with the process. The engine is off when you spray down, yea?

I think he's just saying warm the engine up so the degreaser can really get to work. Warm it up, cut the engine off, spray, set 15, rinse.

I Used Gunk foam degreaser then after I rinsed and let it dry I sprayed 303 aerospace protectant on it. The engine compartment looked brand new afterwards.

So I won't ruin anything if I open the hood and hose down the engine?
