OD is off... computer glitch
Clutch slip
striped gears in the spedo... (perhaps unseated)

i'm with the Doc on this. when i first read that, my eyes got all big, then i thought, maybe he's running a lower gear ratio. if you've got 4.10's, with 32" tires, you are running over 3k at 80.

we don't have a speedo gear in this rig.

My JK has about 2000 mi on it, and I did notice that around 1k-1500 that it was idling pretty high. I asked my dealer about it and they mentioned that it's was still in it's 'break-in' process. I did read about it in several posts, now It's running smoother and the pick up is much better. I'd recommend you to bring it up to the dealer when you go in for your 3000 mi oil service. good luck
