Default engine noise acceleration

when im accelerating i hear a hissing noise almost like a pinging or an exhaust leak, 13 000 km on the odo, sound has always been there

Recently had something similar, check the spot weld on the heat shield for the exhaust right under the engine where it crosses over. Two of my spot welds were broken. I bought a couple of hose clamps as a temp fix until my buddy broke out his welder. Hopefully it is something simple like mine. good luck

Interested in what u find out. I have 2010 rubi with 6000 miles and it hisses like an exhaust leak. I thought it was my new exhaust but didn't find any spots leaking. Will have to check the spot welds mentioned.

Check your exhaust manifold bolts at the collector. I have to re-tighten about every 15k.

Also, the JK manifolds are prone to cracking.
