So when the outsourced pistons arrive at the plant do they have the compression and oil expander rings already fitted or are these installed at the Trenton plant?

For everyone that is replacing engines, are any of these being covered under the lifetime powertrain?? I read alot of posts where people were saying they were out of warranty, but I was under the impression that all pre 2010 JKs were covered under the lifetime?? Maybe im wrong

Yes the rings are already fitted and the piston shooter turns the rings so they don't line up before he shoots the piston.

I have the same issue with burning oil. Just finishing up the oil consumption test, and the dealer says he is ordering me a new short block. I wanted a complete new engine but I guess it's better than pouring oil down it every 1000 miles.

I need to stop reading these kinds of threads.
First I'm at 38k miles zero oil consumption. Could have swore I got an extra quart last change. Ha. Also nock went away once I stared using fram tuff guard. I want to remind you guys with the lifetime warranty, your jeep needs to be inspected every 5 years to keep it. If you have an 08, remember to get this done within the next 2 years.

Anyone with 2010 wranglers having any oil consumption problems? I currently own a 2010 Rubicon with only 4200 miles on it so far and my cousin is looking at buying a newer used one.
