Engine Replacement Central PA
Hi everyone
new ti the forum and wanted some help.
I have a 2014 JK and the engine went out. According to the dealer - "found that the check engine light is illuminated due to a multi-cylinder misfire code and an oil pressure control circuit issue. However, the primary concern is the engine noise coming from the bottom end of the engine, which is likely caused by worn-out rod bearings. To address this issue, the technician has determined that the entire engine would need to be replaced."
Thank you in advance

Welcome to the forum. If your final choice is replace the engine.. recommend go with a Remanfactured engine. Go with a Reman from reputable company, MOPAR does have and sell Reman complete engines .. Good reman companies provide multiple year warranties that cover parts and labor if there is failure. Mopar pays the actual shop labor rate; many of the other companies pay a reduced rate. I run a reman 4.0L in our 2000 XJ Cherokee for the past 2 years with NO problems. Check pricing compare all the pricing (I have found salvage units to be as expensive as remans and those are just what they are Used) and warranty coverage before your final decision..
