Default Engine Sputter/Stall

Quick question everyone - while driving home tonight, my '07 JK 6 Speed had some issues. I stopped at a light, and immediately noticed that my engine had started sputtering. The RPM's would drop and then jump back up to normal. I stopped at a second light and the sputtering continued. A third light at an incline and the sputtering lead to a stall. The only way I could stave off the effects was to keep on the gas at a light and keep the RPM's above 1000.

I had a post about this a while ago, but the symptoms disappeared right away. Any thoughts? Dirty throttle body? spark plug issues? fuel filter?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

So I just cleaned the throttle body, put a new air filter in, and put through some Lucas Fuel System Cleaner. No change in results.

It's just fighting to idle - bounces off of about 500 RPM's and is very rough. No idea what I could be looking at.

Are you using a tuner? I had a problem just like yours which turned out to be computer-related due to wrong info programmed into the tuner by Hypertech, nothing was physically wrong with a part. If you're not using a tuner you might need to go to your friendly neighborhood stealer to have them check it out...

Nope - no tuner. Have since got the ETC warning light coming on. At a repair shop now since I was stumped :(

Runs okay at high RPMs - hopefully its just something computer related that needs a flash.

So the final diagnosis is a bad Throttle Body / Throttle Body Actuator.

No good at all.
