I have had the ESB light come on twice on my 2012 JK Rubicon unlimited, 1st time I was doing about 70 mph with cruise control on, decided to pass a slow poke on the hwy, then the lite came on! Had to pull over on turn the engine off the on again and in a mile or so lite turned off! ;-) 2nd time cruise control not on but had another slow poke in the way, had to turn engine off! Any feed back? Please do not reply with quit passing slow pokes! lol thanks crane guy

I had something similar happen while I was making a turn at the insane speed of 15 MPH. Everytime I stepped on the throttle, the computer kept overriding -- the harder I pushed, the closer it got to stalling.

I just had to push mine into neutral and pulled it back into drive to get it to go back to normal.

Not once did it throw a code or light up the CEL.

I took it to the dealer because it's under warranty, but of course got the "cannot reproduce problem". At least it's on record -- in case something melts down, they can't say I didn't report it...

She ran and drove fine, the only weird thing is that I couldn't set the cruise control back on, the display said cruise was on but couldn't get it to stay on cruise on till I turned off the motor and turned it back on then drove a mile or so?

Mine was flashing the traction control ("slippery when wet") light at me until I did the neutral dance with the shifter. I could see a overly-nannyish engineer setting the trigger conditions so conservatively that the turn (even though it was low speed) kicked it in, but once whatever the trigger condition was had passed, and I was driving straight-and-level on smooth roadway, it most definitely shouldn't have STAYED on.

If you weren't seeing any flashing lights, I'm wondering if it's a separate electrical issue from what seems to be randomly triggering the TCS?

My whole problem with it is that I think it's a safety issue -- had I actually been pulling out into traffic moving at high speed, I'd have been toast. There's another thread on here about this, with a few of us that have experienced the TCS activation for no reason, and most of the other posters have been in situations where it actually could have gotten them killed.
