ESP BAS - Light on/Light off

ESP BAS - Light on/Light off
'07 Sahara, all stock.. i put the Jeep in 4WD, turned off the ESP.. started 4-wheeling in the snow and the "ESP BAS" light came on.. i finished wheelin out of the track, put it back in 2WD and drove down the road and "ESP BAS" light turned off...
i see two different remedies from what i understand and just want to verify.. 1. "sensor in the tire" 2. re-center the the steering wheel/align wheels..
am i seeing all this correctly?
