Default ESP BAS and Traction Control lights

So earlier today after driving about 35 miles at highway I heard the dreaded "BING" and my dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Traction control, ESP and BAS lights came on and proceeded to stay on for the the next 50 miles. I cycled the ignition a few times and tried clearing the DTC codes with my Procal, but theyre still on. I figured the lights came on due to my steering wheel being consistently off center but it is dead center and the lights are still on.

Has anyone else had this issue? What could possibly cause it to pop up randomly like that? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is it running any codes on the JK's computer?

If you're also getting the ABS light with these i would say wheel speed sensor, because when i get ESP BAS ABS and that it's when a wheel speed sensor gets wet and doesn't connect well.

X2 had the same issue in the past. It was my rear wheel sensors. Dealer replaced it under warranty...

I've had my esp, bas,TC light come on twice so far...try cycling the ignition 3 times to see if you have any codes...I did not.....my fix since I had no codes was to start jeep, turn steering wheel lock to lock, re center steering wheel and turn off jeep then restart...no lights...has worked twice for me now...just a thought...worth a try..mine seemed to kick the lights if I parked at a weird angle it didn't like

My ABS light didnt come on at all when the other warnings popped up. I havent checked for codes yet but I will in a little while. I really dont want to take it to the dealership again. I am still waiting on the inner shift boot that they ordered under warranty two months ago

Ill check for codes. Hopefully its nothing major

How'd you end up with this? I just got the ESP and BAS lights on after I tweaked a few settings again last night. I haven't been home yet but it seems like my steering wheel is out of whack enough to have caused it.

I'm assuming that once I get home to re-straighten my steering wheel that it should correct it. I'm curious what your resolution was, if any.

I've had this problem for about 2 months after coming back from a trail ride. I tried centering steering wheel, nothing. Took it in for a front end alignment, nothing. It ended up being wheel sensor which I suspected from reading other threads and forum. I tore the hell out of it on the trail, per service advisor. It was expensive to replace, my jeep was not under warranty.

Unless your using the high dollar scan tools you wont be able to read the braking trouble codes. The light is there to let you know of an impending issue. Most code readers only scan the obd information. There are a few tools that will give you the abs codes which also contain the esp bas stuff as well, but they are usually quite expensive. Usually only dealers or higher performing shops have them. Most likely one of the sensors is bad, which are easy to replace. I would just check the sensor lines first to make sure they are not chafed or kinked, which will impair the voltage to the sensor thus throwing a trouble light. Unless you really had some lift issues it shouldnt be due to the steering wheel location. The front lines can be traced from a connector behind the shock tower inside the engine bay around to the frame and down to the ball joints. There is a bracket attached to the top joint and the line snaps into it. Check on both sides. Double check everything the back as well. If you find one bad, just order it from mopar or someplace local. they are simple to replace. If you cant find a bad spot, take her in to be scanned.

I ended up recentering my steering wheel with the procal so I knew it was accurate. Than I drove about 30 miles and the issue resolved itself. Ive put on a few thousand miles since than with no problems.
