I have a 13 Sahara that came with factory LSD. At 60k I regeard to 4.56 and put a Trutrac in the rear. The OEM factory spider gears were fuuuuucked up when I pulled them out. Can't answer your second question.

The factory electric locker (Tru-Lok) is standard equipment for all Rubicons. Starting around 2012 I think, Rubicons were available with either 3.73 or 4.10 gearing (pre-2012, it was 4.10 only). So yep, there are a bunch of JK D44's with elockers and 3.73's out there.

I don't recall seeing a bunch of posts indicating a trend between the factory limited slip (Trac-Lok) and the strength of the gears or spiders. But it's certainly possible. More often, it is talk about the clutches wearing out and just having an open diff.

The TrueTrac is sold by Eaton/Detroit. Great unit, if you are looking to swap a factory limited.
