Twist it... You'll think it is breaking, but it will pop right up. It's one of those sketchy take-aparts.

i have tried everything in the world to try to remove my mirrors from the factory bracket but nothing works. i sprayed it with wd40 let it soak for couple hours came back and twisted and used a rubber mallet on the mirror and still does not move. i tried to use plyers below the mirror and still wont move. i even took a screwdriver and tried to tap it out from where the screw goes and still no movement. any one else have any ideas to get mirror off.

thanks

I've got the same problem. I tried today and gave up after an hour with no luck. I tried hammering with the bolt partially out and it didn't budge. That was before and after twisting and turning while pulling upward as the instructions directed. Is there something I'm missing here too???

I am going to try and take off the drivers side tomorrow, because it rattles sometimes.
