Hi, my sales manager informed me that the 2012 can no longer be factory ordered?? Can someone verify this? He says that 13 open in mid july and i wont get that till mid sept. Is this a tactic?

 

I believe it's normally June 6th when the order banks open. It could be different this year since they are not shutting down the plant to retool.

 

I ordered mine at the end of may and my dealer told me it just barely made it before they stopped making em

 

I don't know about closure dates... but I can say its about a 2month wait right now for special orders. I'm waiting for mine still and I ordered it 4/1. I'm hoping I get it next week... but its looking more likely the week after. So July to mid Sept sounds about right.

I just bought my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport S about 3 weeks ago, and I actually had the intention of ordering one. However, the sales guy showed me the site they use to look all that stuff up. They stopped all production of 2012 Wranglers except the Rubicon. However, that was about 3 weeks ago, so even the Rubicons could no longer be available. 2013 models are now in progress.

 

I think someone on the 2012 order status thread ordered as recently as yesterday. Don't think they're shutoff yet, but it seems inevitable any day now.

I wouldn't be too shocked if it was closed. I'd still call another dealer or two before conceding. They may just want you to buy off the lot.
