Factory TINT
Well people are saying factory tint is 22%, and if u did 35% on ur wrangler how did that match. Is there any way to see the specs on the window tint? so I can match
If your state requires vehichle inspections, then stop by an inspection station and they can use a guage to test your tinting level. I would check the front too to figure out how much more to add.
I live in NC and the law is 32% for front and in truck or SUV as dark as you want. The only cars and trucks that can have 2% or 5% for front are limo, police, ems, fire, and a business car or truck with the right paperwork. They really want the rear window not to be more then 32% so they can see you. My tint on window got ripped of by the body shp that fixed my door so im redoing it. I like 35% because you can still see out your windows at night. An durning the day it looks close to factory its a little lighter but I dont need a ticket. Also in NC most places will charge you out the butt to check it for inspectiontime.
We just asked our tint shop to match the factory and it's close to a perfect match, but I couldn't tell you what the % is. And yeah, it's not legal, but very few of our vehicles have ever been...
