I have the vinyl seats in mine. I like them except they are already cracking on the back lower section because of folding the passenger seat forward. The dealer said the would order new seat covers and replace them but that was a few weeks ago and they have not called me yet.

Mine is 4 months old with 6500 miles and still look like new! They are they best thing since sliced bread.

I have vinyl seats, i do like them overall but my passenger seat cover ripped in both front corners  , i'm guessing from folding up and down to get to the back seat but i only had it 6 weeks at the time and don't use the back seat much. I took it in to the dealer and he supposedly ordered me a new cover back in June and while i've talked to him a few times since and he's assured me it would be here soon (all of the soons are long past though) i still don't have a new seat cover.

I wonder if it's an issue w/ supply if they aren't doing many vinyl seats there may be a shortage of covers/replacement covers. I haven't called the dealer lately but i guess it's time to start pinging him again.

Ok. Truth comes out. I did have a problem with mine too. It has a small tear in the front passenger side back on the front side at the outer bottom corner. I don;t know what from, but the dealer ordered me a new one and said it will take two weeks because it is coming from the distributer who make s them. I will let you know.

Are the vinyl seats available on the unlimited? I would much rather have them. Takes a while for the cloth seats to dry out when it rains. Had the vinyl on my last Wrangler and loved them.

I am not for sure. I would think so. The only way to get them is to get a base x though. These seats are so much better than the vinyl seats in the tj's. You'd love these!

If you have not seen them you must!!!!! i will post some pics tomorrow.
Jeep Wrangler going cloth seats is the dumbest thing they have ever done. In a convertible it just doesn't make sense to have cloth seats--fade, soak, and soggy. Is this a cost cutting move designed to Chrysler the Jeep lovers? How many more times will we get Chryslered by the current owner of the Jeep Corp.? They already told us we were getting Pentastar and then reneged, placing Pentastar in everything else Chrysler but the Jeep. If someone...George Soros? Bill Gates? would come on with the money to get Jeep out of Chrysler for good, we might have something to rave about. But then again, nothing else Chrysler sells, they can't give them away, so it would be a hard sale to make.

But Please tell me how you can order a new Jeep Wrangler with vinyl seats? I am with you all the way. Vinyl seats ARE a Jeepers best friend. No stains, dry off from rain, and like you say, they look like leather. I didnt get to see your pix, though.

Sorry, I didn't realize that yours was a 2007 post. 2007 and 2008 before they lost their minds on the seats and went cloth. What will be next? No telling.....
