Go to Michael's or another arts and crafts store and get the fabric spray paint for painting silk flowers. I did this a few weeks ago and the cover looks brand new. I will take a pic of the can and post it. Its like $8 a can but looks awesome with at least 2 coats

After 6 years my padding is a light grey. Still intact though.

 

I have been using this to slow the fading, about once per year in spring. I don't go topless as often as some so I'm not sure if the garage isn't doing the color retention for me.



Also good for seats to repel stains. YMMV
