Ok , back of hard top off , freedom top bikini style, they are bouncing, I almost put holes through the top tightening the thumb screws. Took it to the dealer , service guy flips the little feets in back and walah! They fit tight ,I'm not used to this ,I owned CJ's before, I'm still feeling stupid about not finding this.Anybody else?

 

Well it's in the manual and has been posted on here many times, but not recently. If that's the worse thing you do, you are doing okay. You're lucky you didn't crack the panels on top. A lot of Jeeps on the dealer lots had this from either uninformed sales people or customers!

Be careful when removing your do straps too, or your mirrors will put a big dent in your cowl! (Juswt thought I'd head that one off for you!

Dented the cowl already first time i took the doors off. Hey I've never owned a jeep with 100 pound doors dent kinda gives it a little character though. Oh, damn I just realized my wife pushed half my jeep out the avatar!
