I have a dog and make him sit in the cargo area. I dont think you will have much issue....just get one of the dog guards that keep them back there. I think they are safter back there anyhow. But, if you have a softtop that could be different.....

Use a new cotton cloth for the applicator of the M.E.K. and use another new cotton cloth to wipe off what you just put on right after.

I took a look at my Jeep and the pillar pieces are semi smooth and the plastic is solid in color. M.E.K. should have no problem taking your scratch out Any Hardware store should have it for about $3.00

PS: Do not leave it on any length of time, because it melts the plastic witch will make it look new again.
