Default Flash computer

Is it smart to have your jk computer flashed every so often? How much does dealer charge to do this?

Keeping your Jeep away from the dealer as much as possible would probably be best.

Why do you want/need your computer to be reflashed? Do you wipe/reinstally software on your laptop/computer on a regular basis?

I have 2007 rubicon. I went to leave work one day and wouldn't start. The key wouldn't work and anti theft kept going off. I disconnected bAttery and reconnected it was fine. A few days later got in and all the dash lights flashed. I parked for a day and it has been ok since.

Have your battery checked, it might be going bad...check your grounds too and for any loose connections. fwiw jk.'s starting to do weird things like wipers working inconsistently, horn going off for no reason, dash lights flickering and so on is "most"of the time just a battery that needs replacing
Besides you can check the grounds yourself and most auto places will test your battery for free.
If your battery is good I would try another key if you have one...I've heard of the keys going bad too and causing the security issue you said but I don't think that would cause the I other problem you mentioned...my vote is on a bad battery.

I just had these issues... turns out my TIPM (total integrated power module) was shot. Luckily a used one was found and installed and had to have the dealer do a reflash for $100. A new TIPM from the dealer is on over a 2 month back order. Just a heads up if changing the battery doesnt work.
