Nope.

You'll find a good friend in bungee.
(or just remove it altogether)

Bummer. I only crunched a bunch of flowers when I figured it out. My wife didn't mind that they were bent...

Now that I know I just shove something substantial against them, but some kind of bungee or tie would be a good idea.

Yeah bummer - never good to see a perfectly good guitar ruined. The seat does not lock as has been mentioned. I wish it did too..kinda stupid.

Default easy way to lock the seat upright

I used a 1' Strap and quick disconnects that I bought @ west marine for $10.00. You can tighten up the strap just like on a backpack.

Taking it out is a better option if you don't use it. You can take it in and out but with my extenda trunk it's kind of a PIA. Good luck!

You guys must be slamming on your brakes. I load it up with groceries when it is folded up and never had it go down. I drive normally too.

Jeeperkeepers.com has a little latch thingy for TJs that keeps the seat up. Maybe something similar can be made for the JK.

Hey Kuba --

I think the OP means when the rear seats are folded and tilted up toward the front seat. See SJBGPR's pics. When seats are in their standard position - when people can actually sit in them - they're locked.

[To the OP: Correct me if I'm wrong.]
