Not at all, the fires were about 8 miles away and on the other side of the freeway. We were good.

On a side note, I know a test light would tell you if there is power. I never use them. I use a meter so I now exactly whats coming out of what I'm testing. Nothing wrong with a test light, I just don't use them.

There is lighting there, in an Auto the PRND21 lights up next to the shifter. So if may be either lighting or OD. Use a Test probe or Multi-meter and let us know what you found.

That's a good policy.

In today's vehicles, a test light is equivalent to a direct short, if the circuit was not for powering a light.
Even using an old analog volt meter can be bad.
High impedance digital is the safe way to go.

My Auto indicates on the dash. The center console is so dark I did the HVAC LED and cupholder LED mods. And it's not a burned out bulb. I have had the entire console out and there is no wiring for illumination.

I've never been in an Auto JK .. but if there are no lights down there then the O/D switch makes sense. If that is the case ... it is merely gonna be a CANBUS +/- connector there ... and pretty much useless for anything ...

My '09 X 2 door lights up at the console. I don't think it says on the dash at all...Wierd.
Maybe an option thing?? Mine is a base model..vinyl seats and all. 2 options Air and Auto.

Time for the Multi-meter !

Edit: Just checked again, the PRND21 lights up with the dash lights on mine.
