Default Frame flex

Does anyone else notice that the frame has alot of flex in it specially when really getting twisted up? Im talking about maybe 2" at the end of the bumper. Good thing so far is that it straightens itself out.

YIKES! Glad I didn't get an FJ. I'll take the "Stall Bug" issue any day over a cracked frame or body!

I think its going to be the same type of thing with us over long term use. I understand why mopar suggests the JK frame is stiffer than that of the TJ, but if youll stick your fingers inside the frames, side by side, the TJ is SIGNIFICANTLY thicker than the JK ( I am a JK owner, so Im not bashing, love my Jeep). They claim stiffer because of more crossmembers, and a wider framerail crossection, just failed to mention its half the gauge thickness!!!!

They claim stiffer because it's stiffer. The frame is a system. All the components that you mention do make the frame stiffer. The thicker guage does not make a stiffer frame by default. That's the beauty of engineering. The thicker guage DOES make a difference when you introduce external forces in unexpected places. (like balancing your jeep on it's frame rail over a boulder).
