Default Frame Rust

Any suggestion on what I can use to seal up gouges in the frame that are rusty? I used a wire brush and POR 15 but it's so shiny it looks bad with the rest of the frame, what will blend in?

This is my recipe for any chassis and suspension rust. It's inexpensive and works well for me. No wire brush needed.

Go to HF, use their 20% off coupons.

For any scrapes or exposed rust, hit it with this. $5/can

Paint the frame/chassis with this ($6/can). It is very directional, so no concerns for over spray, and it dries with a very durable surface.

Looks like this when done.

That looks pretty good did you do that with the jeep on the ground? Or Did you disassemble everything?

Jeep on the ground. Like I mentioned, the stuff is pretty directional (comes out in a 3-4" diameter circle with no misty over spray)

The only thing I did for prep was to tape up my shocks with blue painter's tape, so that I didn't accidentally spray them.

Some other pics.
Wheel well.

My JKU is a 2009 with 136K of Michigan rust belt state miles on it. I'm pretty satisfied with the results. Most people who see it in person and I tell them it's a 2009 always tend to make the statement, "It looks like it's new". Which is kind of what I'm after, to give it that straight off the dealer lot new look by addressing any chassis rust.
