Default Freaked out!

So I was crawling under my JKU to change my oil by myself for the first time and I see this??!! I've always had a buddy at the jeep dealership do it but he's out of the picture now and tonight I notice a leak and this!! I haven't hit anything since owning it and I haven't really noticed or for that matter even looked before for stains in driveway, but correct me if I'm wrong is the case supposed to line up??? I'm not a heavy duty wheeler or anything any input would be appreciated!

Its not mis aligned at all....dont worry about that hahaha. They are just weirdly matched cause they are different parts originally designed for another vehicle. good ol chrysler just decided to slap em together when they made the jk. I thought the same thing the first time i looked at mine too. I also had a leak... it ended up being the rear main but i had to replace the timing cover and a head gasket before they finally found out it was the RM.

smallz i'm th eopposite, they replaced the rear main, it stopped leaking and then they said lower intkae manifold, replaced that, kept leaking, re-did rear main again almost a year later and it has subsided for now.... so frustrating

but those aren't supposed to be perfect. that's normal as long as oil isn't dripping from it.

Mine looked just like yours. My dealer thought it was my rear main, but ended up being the manifold gasket.

Same here. Dealer thought it was RM and turned out to be the tranny. They replaced the whole thing under warranty.
