Default Freedom Top

Has anybody (or can you even do it) put just the front panals back on with the rest of the hardtop off? if so what was the ride like, any problems?

do it all the time! no sweat, it's like a hard bikini top. but again, only for the driver / passenger fronts. if you have people in the back, hey, they're getting baked. it's a nice ride and a good way to keep 'semi' topless but not get roasted. wind noise is low. still windy tho! have fun!

Have had my Jeep like this for a few weeks. It is nice for sun protection, and a little more insurance if you're going to drive with the risk of rain. Definitely cuts down on the wind without completely ruining the open air feeling.

If mine was a 2-dr, I wouldn't even bother buying a bikini-top, I'd just use the panels, but since I have a 4-dr, the roof panels aren't really worth it- they look a little goofy, but then again, to each their own. I'll stick with the regular bikinitop.

I've been running the front Freedom panels and it just might be the most awesome bikini top ever found that isn't on a chick. Sturdy, no flapping, free (well, included anway) and it looks good too.

i have been thinking of doing this, and with being in the rainy UK, i need a solution to cover the back incase of downpour, and frankly i dont have green to buy a soft top! lol!

so is there another solution to cover the rear in fabric off the peg so to speak! i have looked at dusters / windjammers / safari bikinis / emergency tops / etc... but all seem to leave a visible gap which is no good in a heavy rain session like we get here!

answers on a postcard please!

see this thread regarding the Emergency Top.

Covers the entire top and the area of the 2 back doors on a 4 door. I have used it with and without the front freedom panels on and works great either way.

i have looked at that and it says you cant drive at higher speeds with that on, and that was my concern tbh, as thats an ideal solution!

as i drive a motorway at least twice a day so im doin 70ish for about 20miles+ everyday, do u have experience of this sort of speeds with one??
