I'm looking for the little rubber boot that covers the metal hook that clamps the freedom top panels to the windshield. I have one on the passenger side, but the driver's side is missing. It's not a huge deal, but the metal clamp is scraping off the paint on the hoop.
I should PROBABLY just call the dealer, but I hate dealing with those jokers.

Does anyone know where I might find a parts diagram? Maybe one of you have a service manual that you wouldn't mind taking a peek at for me.

Mine came off and I left them off for about a year and it scraped all the paint off those latches, but since I have had the dealer fix it - doesn't seem to be a big deal. I'd just have them fix it next time you're in, but here's the requested info:

The dealer replaced the part, and painted the hook for you? For free?

 

Is this that round rubber piece that stops the clamp from closing all the way down to the metal? If so mine popped off..

 

In the diagram, is 9 and 14 pointing to a small bag of $$$?

'cause my Jeep didn't come with that...

 

Mine fell off too (Driver's Side) It was allowing air to come in so I folded a thin koozie 3 ways and stuck it in there and flipped the latch down. Problem solved (for now anyway).
