Default Front Drive Shaft question?

I have a 2011 JKU Rubi and I need to replace my front driveshaft. I am able to get a new takeoff one off of a 2012 JKU . Will this work in mine?

Front drive shafts are the same length in all JK's i believe, regardless of 2 door or 4 door. Rear driveshaft length is different between the 2 and 4 door, but the year doesn't matter.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

My buddies 2010 manual rubi was shorter than my 2013 auto sahara.. But he said it fits, but his control arms are also a bit longer...

Measured on the Jeep? They aren't a fixed length.
