Default Front of engine block leak -tranny fluid?

I found a pretty old leak in the front of my engine block and want to confirm its a tranny leak before I take it in.

I wiped it clean a few weeks ago and looked again today and the fluid was back. Haven't seen any leaks below my jeep, so has to be small. Help please!

Welcome to JKF.. looking at the picture.. Not being a 3.8L owner; however, that appears to be Front of engine.. above the crankshaft pulley.. that would not be a transmission leak.. is it an oil or possibly a coolant leak probably from water pump area...
