I want to put a license plate on my front bumper, am I guessing right that I just drill in to the plastic, or is there some kind bracket that I am forgetting something.

 

my front bumper had 2 small dimples that the dealer screwed the front plate into.

 

I didn't even have to drill. The dealership gave me two self-tapping screws that worked great. Just line the plate holes up with the bumper dimples and screw it in. They held the plate on great (about a year) until I installed my Shrockworks mid-width front bumper...
