Default Front Locker engage requirements

I was off-road yesterday and my front locker wouldn't stay locked. (light blinking). What gives?

Offroad
Slight Grade
4Lo
Rear Locked

Is there a condition where it will unlock?

I was on a gravel road...it seemed at lower speed ie 3-5 mph it would stay locked. above that though it would not. Just the rear would stay locked in the say 6-15 mph range.

I have used them in the mud and once locked, they stayed locked front and rear.

I really puzzled from my experience yesterday.

Lockers on a gravel road?

My JK climbs up pretty much anything without lockers.

Won't even put it in 4lo for a gravel road, i could only use a rear locker, sometimes.

I thought lockers were for really crazy wheeling. All i wheel on is rocks and steep climbs and departures for the most part.

Aired down to 15 or so and sway bar disconnected i never have issues. A locker in the rear would really open up a lot more difficult lines.
