Front pulls right (intermittently)
At first (last week) I thought I was imagining things, but this morning the steering wheel definitely pulled right as I applied the brakes. It did it 2x and then seemed fine. I've only got 20K on the 08 X with all stock suspension. I think this might happen if the right "grabs" harder than the left OR if the left isn't getting engaged enough. Any other thoughts or ideas?
It may be hanging but I would think it would hang more consistently if that was the case. Is the Jeep aligned? Is it possible that when it is happening the road is different in that area, I mena the slope of the road would make it pull some just because it is slanted for water runoff. This may be worse in some places and the texture of the road surface can affect it as well, I am not sure any of these are truely waht is going on but if they sound kinda close it may give you some peace of mind to know that it might not be the Jeep at all. Good luck! JOE>
Mine been doing that as well, but only on the first really hard braking. I now just step really hard on the brake first thing befor I drive. It seems like the caliper is opening up more on one side, (greater clearence between pads and disk). I've looked but I dont see anything wrong. I think it is hanging up on the attaching bolts, I'm gonna remove them and clean and reinstall and see if it make my problem go away.
mines with pirates.... pretty common... and just wrote it off as a slight problem till recently... I noticed that my mickey thompson baja claws with a little over 40k are showing a (bleep) load of even treadwear, (about a 1/10 of an inch more then the other 3 tires)
