Fuel pump relay
New here. My 2012 wrangler wouldn’t start recently, only crank. Towed it to a mechanic as I am not super mechanically inclined and apparently the fuel pump relay is dead. According to the mechanic it’s part of the circuit board which means the whole circuit board/fuse box needs replaced. Quoting me $1,500 for parts and service. Does this seem fair?
If it's indeed part of the TIPM then you're looking at $600 at the dealer for that part. There's no real "labor" involved outside of unfastening 6 clips on the bottom and a nut on top. I replaced mine without further programming from the dealer.
You'll have to search for ronjenx's post on the TIPM, he's got it fully blown apart and you may be able to confirm the fuel pump relay is in there.
