Fuel System Flush?
I got my oil changed today, have 33,000 miles on my 2008 Rubi. The guy at the oil place recommended I get my Fuel System Flushed or Fuel Injection Flush, I don't remember. Either way I said no thank you.
What are your thoughts on Fuel System Flushes? Needed, not needed or needed at x amount of miles?

I had one automotive dealership change my oil and filter/ rotate 4 tires. Vehicle had 6,000 miles. The bill came out to $90. I went on a damn warpath with the service writter. I told him, I bought the vehicle here new, was there an issue? He replied , we do a very intense safety inspection. Of course the mananger heard me going off and came out of his cozzy office and appoligized and adjusted the price accordingly. It is all a hoax. Never will buy a product from that company ever again.
Just as discussed on this forum, how much the differential fluid service charge is , for something that is so simple. Yo gotta be on point with these cats.

Waste of money. My favorite was with my 04 Chevy Malibu. I had 28,000 miles and the service guy came out saying he was shocked on how bad the oil was and the tapping he heard in the engine was due to carbon build up on the pistons. He recommended a fuel and engine cleaner for over $200 charge. I gave my best shocked face and said "oh my! that's terrible! Could I have prevented this by using better gas and synthetic oil?" He said I would never need it if I did that. That's when I broke out the receipts for my Mobil 1 oil and Mobil or Shell gas receipts. The look on his face was priceless. I told him that he had better put a note in my file on the computer to never offer me that crap again or I would never have my car serviced there again. (A couple months later, my friend bought my Malibu so I could get my Jeep. Problem solved.
