??Full doors or Half Doors??
I prefer full doors. I like being able to roll down my window vice unzipping them. The half doors do look good though. I don't really think you gain much more "openess" with the half doors as compaired to the windows rolled down. I would just as soon take the doors off or simply roll down the window...but that's just me.
It is super easy to remove teh full doors, but I also wished that I had got the half doors.
I am making a prediction that as the current generation of jk'ers, (for whom this is their first jeep,) start trading in and getting new ones, you will see a lot more half doors. A lot of us just didn't know as much then as we do now.

I had half doors on my YJ. I had a love hate relationship with them. I hated them in the winter, I hated the zip windows, I hated the plastic getting scratched. I did love them in the summer, with them on they were the perfect height to rest my arm on, they give you an almost doorless feel so that in the rainy times of the year, you could pull off the top of the door, throw them in the back and still have an almost doorless feel, but wouldn't get soaked if some rain moved in, like in those afternoon summertime showers.
If I have to choose, which I will when I buy my JK, I will go with full doors. Still has the capability of easy removal for doorless, but has all the benefits of full doors.

The only reason I want half-doors or maybe tube doors with a fabric covering is so that I can lean farther out and see the tires while rock crawling. I can see a little with the full doors, but when I ride in my buddies TJ with half doors you can see a lot better/easier. I could care less how it looks, I don't do drive-though fast-food, and I don't have toll roads around here.
Can anyone who has them tell me, do the tube doors without coverings end up getting gravel thrown in the jeep? I don't care about mud, not much around here anyway, but I don't like the idea of gravel hitting my rear passengers. I know the rocks hitting my left elbow hurt enough!
Can you also tell me if is is easier or more comfortable with the factory half-doors vs. the tube doors to hang out your head/body and see the front tire?
Thanks!

When I ordered mine in January, 2007, it was not on the option list for 4 door, only 2 door models...specifically had the dealership (actually 2 dealerships) check with D-C to find out...both got the reply "no rear half doors available at this time or in the near future."
Can anyone tell me if they were able to get rear doors thru the dealerships back then?

I have the full doors, but I agree with those who say that the half doors look best with the top off -- probably even with the safari top. Half doors look goofy with the uppers in place.
Jeep marketers must agree: The color brochure for the 2007 JKs had only one, teeny-tiny picture of a Jeep with full doors -- and back then the half doors were nigh impossible to buy! And I don't recall any pictures with the half door uppers installed.
Anyway, I'll eventually get tube doors, which I think also look great with the top off/safari top.
