is this gap normal? its about the same size gap on each side.

 

Mine has a gap and the donut seals are leaking now. I can't stop it by tightening so now it has to go to the muffler shop. I guess they just loosen up over time.

 

i dont think mine is leaking but i have been hearing some horrible banging noises and i was looking around and just happend to see it. so does anyone else have a a gap in theres?

i tried to tighten and the bolts are tight, i dont want to try and over tigten if the gap is supposed to be there.
