gas cap light
I have a 2012 jk and My engine light is on for the gas cap but the cap is fine what am I missing the light is driving me crazy. Plz help.

Happened to me on my 2012. Try tweaking the large hose that goes into your evac canister. That fixed my light. That was well over a year ago. There must have been a small air leak. I just grabbed the hose and spun it a little each direction. Light went out and never came back.

OK thanks I'll try it do you know of a good way to keep the idler pulleys for the alternator from going out every month??

Nope. Not me. My 2012 has given me almost perfect performance over 3yrs and 57,000 miles.

The light went on on my 12, and I cleaned all around the gas cap membrane and cap and it worked.
If it happens again, i'll keep in mind the evap hose, sounds like a plan.
