Hands down Zaino wax. You can put it anywhere even the windshield and never leaves a residue. Its not cheap but well worth it.

I use Meguiars NXT Generation tech wax 2.0, leaves an awesome finish and it holds up pretty good for about a month. It is kind of expensive and a little time consuming to apply but if you use those little brushes there wont be any leftover wax in crevices/hard to reach areas and it does a nice job protecting your paint.

I agree, a great site. There really are alot of opinions out there, many differ because the tradeoff between desired results vs. willingness to expend effort/time. What works for me is as follows:

klasse wax... in the red container... easy on, easy off, no residue, last up to six months, use on my windows as well.... does not hurt black plastic.. but I don't get crazy with it... paint, rims, windows (glass) all get klasse... I have used it for years... trust me..

Did you know a regular ol' pencil eraser will remove wax from your plastic pieces?

X2 I didn't even know we where supposed to wash these things. I use black magic on my wifes Lexus because consumer reports rated it the best, not sure if it leaves the white stuff.
